Putting It All Together
In our very busy lives, it’s challenging to focus on more than one aspect of our health at one time.
Most of us tend to focus on one thing at a time. We may diet, but forget to exercise. We may exercise but avoid the bodywork that helps us improve our movement, and range of motion.
We may have bodywork done to try to take care of back pain, but do not exercise to strengthen the weak muscle that may cause us pain.
Keeping ourselves healthy means taking a more “holistic” approach to wellness by understanding that the human body is very complex and requires several elements of wellness to keep us fit and healthy.
We believe that in order for us to achieve optimal wellness, we must incorporate three basic elements:
Whole Food Natural Balanced Nutrition
Myofascial Release Bodywork
Fitness Training
An example of how well our programs work together:
Lynn holds a black belt in Tae Do. She is an amazing athlete, and found the value in receiving regular MFR to keep her body flexible and pain free. Two years ago, Lynn decided to go back to college and get her bachelor’s degree. With two teenage daughters in high school, time was limited. She slowed down on her fitness and her myofascial release program. As a busy mother, she tried to eat well, but time was limited and although she tried, she was not eating as healthy as she would like. Some days, she barely took time to eat between studying, and running her girls from place to place.
Eventually, she started having wrist and elbow problems as well as some low back pain.
She contacted me to have some MFR done on her elbow. Her pain was all too familiar, and typical of those who spend hours at the computer, or studying as she was. After one MFR session, her pain decreased in her neck and hand. Just a few more sessions and her pain was gone. She had talked to me about her nutrition and had read some of Linda’s nutrition posts on FB. She decided to incorporate Linda’s Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition plan. In addition she decided to start a fitness program at our facility to get her back into a better exercise routine. MFR helped her get back to living pain free, allowed her to look forward to exercising again, and the nutrition has helped improve her energy levels so that she can continue reaching her personal goal by completing her master’s degree.
Many of our clients find how valuable it is to take advantage of our whole wellness programs and have seen wonderful improvements in their fitness and wellness.
