What is Myofascial Release Therapy?

Created by world renowned physical therapist, John F. Barnes, myofascial release (MFR) is a form of bodywork that is safe and extremely effective. Our therapist uses a combination of sustained holds, gentle pressure, with stretching, Through these unique and effective applied techniques, the myofascial restrictions are able to be released so that motion is restored and pain is reduced significantly.

JFB Myofascial Release Therapy provides lasting relief from pain and the physical and emotional stress

What is FASCIA?
Fascia is a three-dimensional web of connective tissue that surrounds the entire body. The fascia surrounds our muscles, organs, in fact, fascia connects every cell in the human body. Fascial restrictions, through trauma, injuries, surgery, or any physical or emotional stress becomes solidified and shortens, putting up to 2000 pounds of pressure per square inch on your system, causing pain and dysfunction, decrease in energy, and limited range of motion.

How does John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy differ from other forms of body work and therapy?
Other forms of body work and therapies generally follow a specific protocol only treating the symptoms. This "myopic" form of treatment only addresses a specific body part and ignores the power of consciousness. JFB-MFR is a WHOLE BODY technique, that engages the entire system in the process of healing... the mind, body and spirit.

For more information, John F. Barns explains his revolutionary treatment technique and approach in these articles and videos.
